DUAL-DIAGNOSIS TREATMENT FOR MENTAL HEALTH AND SUBSTANCE ABUSE PROBLEMS
If someone you know has an alcohol or drug abuse problem, it can seem like a huge issue in and of itself. Yet many individuals who have substance abuse problems also have underlying mental health issues. In fact, the presence of a dual-diagnosed problem is more the rule than the exception.
TREATMENT FOR DUAL-DIAGNOSIS & CO-OCCURRING DISORDERS
Edgewater is a recognized leader among behavioral health care providers in offering substance abuse treatment, as well as treatment for individuals that are dually diagnosed.
With years of treatment experience, our professional staff provides you with the individualized care needed to treat dual-diagnosed problems to ensure lasting recovery. Our treatment plans are designed to address an individual’s substance abuse and mental health problems at the same time, in the same program, by the same well-trained treatment team.
It’s very common for people addicted to drugs, alcohol, and gambling to believe that they don’t have a problem.
The family will often have concerns about a potential problem, but the addicted person is very skilled at convincing them that there is nothing to be concerned about.
IT WON’T GO AWAY
Without help, it’s likely that the addiction will escalate, affecting their life and the lives of others close to them.
The experienced, professional staff at Edgewater and a full continuum of addictions services, helping people break free from their substance dependence and regain control of their lives.

Other times, the people affected by their addiction will reach out. Regardless of how it happens, it is a pivotal time in their lives.
